In alignment with our values, WFR supports numerous non profit organisations, Charities and Community events and projects each year.

The MS Society of WA is an independent, state-based organisation supporting people with multiple sclerosis, their families and carers through the supply of professional health care services. The Society plays a vital role in educating the community about the disease, liaising with government and other bodies on MS-related issues and advocating for the rights of all people with MS.

Worlds Great Shave for a Cure is one of Australia’s biggest fundraising events.100,000 people across the country will shave or colour their hair to raise money for providing practical care and support to patients and families living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders. It will also fund research into better treatments and hopefully cures.

CANTEEN supports young people aged 12-24 who are living with cancer. National Bandanna Day is a great opportunity for individuals, schools and organisations in the community to show their support for young people living with cancer by selling bandannas during October, and buying a bandanna to wear on National Bandanna Day, Friday 30 October.

Red Apple Day is run by the Bowel Cancer & Digestive Research Institute of Australia, where Australians are encouraged to help raise funds for vital research and community awareness campaigns through the purchase of a $2 apple pin.

MOVEMBER is an annual, month-long celebration of the moustache, highlighting men’s health issues, specifically prostate cancer and depression in men. Mo Bros, supported by their Mo Sistas, start Movember (November 1st) clean shaven and then have the remainder of the month to grow and groom their moustache.

The Great Australian Bite is a community participation event involving groups of people getting together during the month of April, sharing a bite to eat and supporting Diabetes Australia by making a tax deductible donation.
