2012 represents 15 years of business for WFR!
In 1997 we created the Healthy Lifestyle Program, consisting of core service modules of health, fitness, injury, risk and team. The HLP was initially developed with the aim of promoting health, wellness and injury prevention on mine sites.
Back in the late 90’s, the concept of ‘health and wellness’ in the mining industry was limited so it took WFR a long time, a lot of education, marketing, and a lot of pushbacks for us to see a cultural shift and acceptance of these programs.
Whilst mining still represents a large portion of our business, over the last 5 years we have recently expanded into the oil and gas sector. Our biggest growth area over the past 12 months has been QLD and NT, with opportunities in SE Asia becoming more prevalent, and diversifying into different industries such as transport, logistics, manufacturing and construction. WFR currently have a team of 28 full time staff and have recently expanded our team interstate.
We are really proud to say that one client we started with 15 years ago, Golden Grove, is still our client today. And other companies such as Barrick Gold, Newmont Asia Pacific, and Rio Tinto have been working us with for at least 10 years.
As WFR continues to grow and develop we are looking forward to strengthening those relationships we have with all of our clients and business partners.
